Our Story
Born from Research, Built for Results
Technosim traces its origins to the Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec (CRIQ), where our founding engineers developed the rigorous analytical methods that now define our practice.
In 1996, we established Technosim as an independent firm to bring that same research-grade discipline directly to building owners, architects, and facility managers across Canada.
Today, with offices in Québec City and Brantford, Ontario, we remain a boutique practice — small by design, so every mandate benefits from direct senior-engineer involvement.

Technosim is established by engineers from CRIQ (Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec), bringing decades of R&D-grade rigour to private consulting.
Building Simulation Expertise
Technosim becomes a reference in whole-building energy simulation and LEED certification support, working with RETScreen Expert, eQuest, EnergyPlus and DOE-2.
Recommissioning at Scale
Expanding into systematic recommissioning mandates for complex institutional and commercial facilities across Québec, following CSA Z5001 procedures.
Ontario Presence
Opens a second office in St. Catharines, Ontario, serving pan-Canadian clients while maintaining deep roots in the Québec engineering community.
